ID-100184665You find yourself single, raising kids, and you don’t like it!  I felt the same. All the what ifs, and can’t we could just go back to the way it was thoughts kept banging around in my head. I felt panic wondering how to move ahead.

Singleness and re-entering the dating world are hot topics that I have been asked to write about in publications and  ones that women share with me.

Over the next few weeks, I want to address the issue of Single moms living out their singleness as well as the topic of dating again. I struggled with it; I lived it. My hope is to encourage you in these two areas.

At the bottom of every blog are the words, YOU CAN DO THIS.  I truly, truly mean it! A dear friend said these words to me as I walked this journey. She was right.  That is why I know you are going to make it not only to survive, but have success!

My passion is for single moms is to walk this journey without fear, without panic, and with God’s wisdom.  Many women have jumped back into a relationship because they are tired of doing it on their own, they are lonely, and they don’t like the status of singleness.

ID-100224534I struggled with contentment. This wasn’t my decision and I was left holding the bag to keep the family together, get back into the workforce, and keep my head above water.

Because of my faith in Jesus, He was my Comforter, my Counselor, and my Confidant.  I was still single, still hurting, and still lonely but Jesus never, never left my side and helped me to successfully survive!

As soon as I placed my toes on the bedroom floor in the morning, He was there until I crawled back into bed that night.  He never left my side through the worst of times and the best of times.

Psalm 91:4, He will spread his wings over you and keep you secure. His faithfulness is like a shield or a city wall.

Let me journey with you. My weekly blog’s passion has always been to encourage you in your journey.  Remember, God gives us opportunities for new starts.  My prayer is that some of my insights will help you see through the fog and work through some heavy decisions.

Next week’s topic is on Being Alone.

  1. Boy, I REALLY NEEDED this today! Sometimes it all seems so overwhelming! On top of that not an easy transition when the ex still wants to control you( court, child support or rather lack of it etc). Thank You for reminding me that God has my back :). I read He is fully capable of caring for you and He will NEVER forsake you-how true but we forget. I can’t wait to read more blog posts.
