Last week I shared how we needed to take time to rest and refresh ourselves. How did you do? Keep it up and keep trying. It will do you a world of good.
The best solution for Rest is when we can truly understand our Rest in God. His promises are like a warm blanket tucked around us when we feel we are chilled to the bone and feel frozen in our emotions. Let these words from Scripture hug you and inspire you to keep moving ahead in those Single Mom Shoes. You are going to make it. It is tough and tiring, but I know that God is not going to let you down. Listen to His voice and take His Rest.
There will be many people who break their promise, will hurt us, or ‘not get it’. God is the same every hour, every day, and always. Rest in His Promises this week. He has a 100% promise of never leaving you. He is there to help you. He is waiting for your call.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find REST for your souls.
Fear and Worry
1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Psalm 56:3, When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Luke 18:15-17, People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on
them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.
Isaiah 41:10, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Provision for you and your Family
Psalm 68:10, Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Deuteronomy 31:8, The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Joy Given by God
Nehemiah 8:10, Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
