We all need help from time to time! That is a Reality and there is nothing wrong with that.
Many times I would feel guilty or inadequate because I needed help. However, many shared that as they helped, it was a huge blessing to them. They were living out,
2 Corinthians 9:13b-14, “But it is only fair for you to share with them when you have so much, and they have so little. Later, when they have more than enough, and you are in need, they can share with you. Then everyone will have a fair share…”
I recently found a website called, www.thelifeofasinglemom.com, and began to look into it because it peeked my interest. They have a wonderful ministry to help Single Moms. I have been given permission to share this ministry with you and they shared a little blurb about the Founder of this ministry.
They have amazing resources on this site. Some may not apply to where you live, however, it is worth the research and hopefully a blessing and help to you. I hope you check it out.
” At 19 years old, Jennifer Maggio found herself a homeless, unwed single mother of two children. She suffered through severe abuse, poverty, and feelings of hopelessness. Her journey led her on a bumpy ride through parenting alone, but she made it. And she used those life experiences to launch a nonprofit, The Life of a Single Mom.
The Life of a Single Mom Ministries (TLSM) is a global nonprofit that exists to serve single mothers and to help them know they are not alone. TLSM helps establish support groups in churches and communities around the United States. Whether you are looking for a single moms support group near you or interested in starting one, they can help you. TLSM also provides Bible study and reading materials, free weekly podcasts, videos, and articles of encouragement, a free monthly newsletter, and live weekly chats. The Life of a Single Mom also has the great privilege of hosting events around the United States and has a comprehensive list of national resources available to help any single mother. For more information, visit www.thelifeofasinglemom.com.”
I have put their resource page on my Linda’s Library link as well:
Having a support system for Single Mom’s and knowing that others care and are willing to invest in your lives can be a great encouragement.
We all need encouragement and help along the way.
You can do this!
